She started at the dark haired girl in disbelief. She knows... she... understands... How is that possible? Even though she had only been in New York a few days, not even long enough to become acquainted with the social protocol, she already knew them from before. Sienna Alexandria Hill, as everyone called her, and her brother had been visiting for a while and insisted they go to school in the simple yet busy city. Although they were only 8th graders, words said then never seemed to erase, and the labels seemed to stick over such a long time. She shuddered at the memory. Maybe this was a chance to start all over, a chance to erase the past...
Pfft. Good luck with that A dark and distant voice in the back of her head mumbled. She shook her head, that voice never said nice things about anyone or anything. Best not to listen to it.
"I try my best to avoid them, you know?" She replied to the girl standing in front of her. She didn't feel like continuing, so instead, she nodded to the girl and walked off in the direction of the subway and mentally wished the girl good luck.

She stopped when she suddenly turned around. "Uh..." she said, not knowing exactly what to say. She could just run off, as if they are ever going to see each other again... But then, she didn't she just stayed there, like someone super glued her feet. "Them," she gulped. One word was enough though. Surely everyone knew about them. Not that she wasn't a part of the circle, back where she came from.

She had to run, to get as far away from them. I mean, 8 hours per week, 5 days a week was surely enough, right? The park was her place, somewhere where they wouldn't find her. Maybe they like lazing about to...?
As she got futher and futher away from them, she felt the presence of someone behind her. Not that it wasn't common for someone to be behind you in New York City, but this presence felt like they were following her. Like they wanted her to stop and turn around. She did exactly that, and saw the girl from the park smiling at her, her coal black hair reflecting in the sun. Why'd she follow me?
The black haired girl's expression changed from content to confused, and the ever familiar shade of rose returned to their usual spot at her cheeks.
"I spoke outloud again, didn't I?"

She looked up from her phone, to see the girl running away, again. God, New York's sure a weird city, then she looked the other way, she saw a group of teenagers, two stood out, a girl, beautifully blonde and those bright blue piercing eyes, Sienna Alexandria Hill, she remembered, everyone knew her, and her brother stood there, chatting to a couple of over exited girls. She looked back, to where the brown hair girl ran to. She quickly followed, her pace was fast for a walk.

As she swung her feet idly, waiting for something to do, she noticed the girl checking her phone, and saw her expression drop. I wonder what happened to her...? Her thoughts mused. She began to rack her brain for worthwhile conversation starters, something to make things interesting, but nothing came to mind that was worth saying to a stranger. How do you tell someone you don't even know about your deepest darkest secrets?
Just as she was about to come up with something good, a group of teenagers entered the park, and all colour from her face ran dry. What are they doing here? They surely arn't here for me... Swiftly, she got up, with her bag, nodded to the girl with the phone and ran off. I hope she understands...

She stared at her for a second, what's in her mind? Anyway, she probably wouldn't even meet her again... She sat back down, getting her loved phone out again and she started texting her, when she recieved a text: Soz cant go b ther 2mo xo. She knew exactly what it meant. She wasted another 30 minutes of her life. She finished a frappuchino, and got up, wanting to go buy another one. When the girl suddenly returned...

She stopped dead in her tracks and turned around to the day dreaming girl. She took a better look at her, noticing that she looked more normal from up front. Maybe she wasn't one of them
"Hi to you to" She replied weekly. She had no idea what she was doing, she was breaking all of her motives, all of her promises.
Instead of walking off home, she walked over to the bench nearby and parked herself there. Homework can wait, I have better things in mind right now...

Taking another sip of her frappuchino, she looked up in the sky - she suddenly felt uncomfortable, she looked around, is that girl staring at me? She thought, oh well, let her wonder, she thought. She took out her phone and looked at the time, she still wasn't here. Looking back at the girl with brown hair, she wondered to herself why not make a new friend? She said a small, "hello," as she stumbled across to the other girl. God, my reputation is ruined, she thought, but the girl seemed nice.

After twenty minutes of aimlessly staring at the nothingness that was the clear blue sky, she realized where she had to be. There was homework to be done, clothes to be vigorously scrubbed so that the soup someone had thrown at her could come out, emails to delete. She got up, remembering to grab her bag as she started to leave. As she crossed the park, she stopped just to tie her trusty Converse shoe laces. She continued to walk, taking in the park around her. The greeness of the grass, the colour of the flowers, the looming and somewhat intimidating buildings behind. Suddenly, a memory moved to the front of her mind, and she could instantly recall it, the setting of said memory, the land she was standing on. This was our park... She reminisced, but quickly shook the thought away. If she knew any better, that would lead to one thing, and another, and... she didn't feel like going there today.
As she made her way out of Central Park, she noticed a girl sitting on her own, staring at the sky. She wondered about her, who she was and what she was doing. Many different possibilities came to mind, but she ignored them. Better not judge her before I know her...

She looked back down, to her book. God it's cold today she thought as she took another slip of her frappuchino, maybe this is why. Shutting her book closed, she looked up in the sky, it was a beautiful crystal blue - her mind started wondering those vast skies, it was her hobby, daydreaming.
